We are thrilled to announce that Shorebreak won an audience award at the 2016 Maui Film Festival! A throng of 1,700 people watched the film on a giant 50-foot screen with surround sound at the stunning outdoor Celestial Cinema in Wailea, Maui, June 19.
Apart from the Maui Film Festival, the Shorebreak tour has run up and down the East and West Coasts. The tour climaxes this week on Clark’s home island of Oahu with final screenings in Honolulu (June 27) and Lahaina (June 28). Everywhere he goes, the film’s star and Find Your Calling partner Clark Little has been busy greeting eager fans, signing hats and posters, and encouraging aspiring photographers.
In and of himself, Clark has inspired thousands of people around the globe to chase their dreams—and not just in photography. Anything. Everything. So we’ve been stoked that Clark joined forces with Find Your Calling (a title sponsor of Shorebreak) this spring in order to systematically help people—particularly high school and college students—discover careers they love and plan their education accordingly.
“I’m not sure that everybody was made to be a wave photographer,” Clark has said, “but I’m totally convinced that everybody is called to do something.”
